Okta is the fifth child in his family. Okta's parents are from Bali, but migrated to Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi, and settled there. Okta’s mother did not know that she was pregnant again because at that time she was still using artificial contraception. Okta was born on October 9, 2018 in Donggala. His parents were very surprised to find out that their child was born with a cleft lip and palate.
Fortunately, there was a midwife who provided information about the Smile Foundation of Bali and its services. Accompanied by his mother, Okta departed from Donggala by air, they had transit in Ujung Pandang and finally arrived in Denpasar on March 19, 2019. Due to a long journey, Okta had a cold and cough when he arrived at the Smile House. After his condition recovered, Okta finally underwent his surgery on March 26, 2019. We are really happy to see the results of his operation. Okta will return to undergo a cleft palate surgery at the age of 1 year old. Keep healthy, Okta!
