This is Gede Ambelan Putra (Bayu
Anugerah), our strong baby boy from
Bali. He was born at Singaraja on 20 September
2013 with Meningoencephalocele. Gede was
referred to Smile Foundation of Bali when he was already hospitalized at
Sanglah hospital. After about one month waiting , the surgery finally was done
successfully by medical team of General
Hospital of Sanglah Denpasar on 2th January 2014 . After surgery Gede still needs
to have continuous therapy from
specialists to monitor his growth considering almost half of his brain was
taken away during the surgery. He looks like other normal baby now, very active
and hopefully everything will be ok with Gede Ambelan.
