Astutiningsih is a Paralympics athlete in archery from Yogyakarta, Jawa Tengah. She was born with a Pierre Robin Syndrome, which consisting of a small lower jaw (micrognathia) and her tongue that is placed further back than normal (glossoptosis). In October 2015, she registered as a YSB’s patient and on February 5th, 2016, she went to Adelaide to get her surgery. Finally, she had surgery on April 7th, 2016 at Royal Hospital, Adelaide done by team of Prof. David J David and Dr. Walter Flapper. Now she has gone back to Yogyakarta and begins to prepare herself for the National Paralympics. Hopefully with this operation, Astutiningsih can face the future even more powerful.
Astutiningsih adalah atlit panahan paralympic yang berasal dari Yogyakarta, Jawa Tengah. Dia lahir dengan kondisi Pierre Robin Syndrome dimana bagian rahang sebelah kiri tidak berkembang dengan baik. Pada bulan Oktober 2015, dia terdaftar sebagai pasien YSB dan tanggal 5 Februari 2016 Astutiningsih berangkat ke Adelaide untuk mendapatkan operasi disana. Akhirnya tanggal 7 April 2016 Astutiningsih menjalani operasinya di Royal Hospital Adelaide yang ditangani oleh tim dokter Prof. David J David dan dr. Walter Flapper. Kini dia telah kembali ke Yogyakarta dan memulai menyiapkan diri untuk mengikuti Pekan Paralympic Nasional.
