Anastasia Tengawung is from Flores, she was born on October 10, 1988. When she was 17 she had a tooth-ache infection, she didn't care of it, then the infection became worse within a year, she had gone to the Hospital but unable to pay the surgery. Finally, after 10 years of suffering, our outreach team found her and took her to Yayasan Senyum Bali, she was very happy when we told her that we were sending her to Adelaide to get the surgery she deserves. On April 4, she had her surgery by Prof. David and his team from ACFU (Adelaide Craniofacial Unit). This surgery was successful and she was allowed to go back home after six weeks of treatment. She went back to Bali on the 6th and back to Flores on 9th of May. The result was amazing and this surgery has definitely changed her life. Now she is confident in the society and plans to work and hopes for a good future.
Anastasia Tengawung berusia 27 tahun berasal dari Flores, dia menderita tumor sejak berumur 17 tahun. sakitnya berawal dari sakit gigi yang kemudian infeksi dan menjadi tumor.
